It never hurts to ask

I just attended some “recession-proofing your clients” seminars for my job and came away with some great tips for Provident Living.

Such as asking the cashier at any retail outlet if they have any promotions or discounts at this time or in the near future. I bought some kids clothes at the mall, asked the cashier, and she said, “Next week we are having a sale on accessories, but I can give you 10% off today.”

I was surprised, because I was just trying this tip out without expecting anything. I had no idea how easy it was and so simple. I struck out at the next store, but I didn't feel awkward asking.
